Gray ice vapor lid
clamped all round
the rim of this earth bowl
sun is a nickel of iridescence
low in the southeast.

  1. I really like that the 'sun is a nickel of iridescence...' and think of just whose portrait it may hold - thanks, J

  2. You must live right around the corner. I just observed a similar moment for my stone. My sun however was not an iridescent (boy that is a hard word to spell) disk. It was more a muffled dingy dime. As always enjoy your writing. xo teri
