Sacramental Laundry

Snap the tee shirt flat
bring it to my heart
fold in this sleeve
fold in that sleeve
gratitude and well wishing
for growing body and spirit
soon to be clothed
fold up the bottom
precious son, treasured daughter
peace and blessing forever
let the top fall
stack with the rest
amen.

  1. A ritual out of routine - nice one.

  2. This is an amazing poem. I felt the love for your children. I don't think folding laundry will be the same for me. Thanks.

  3. Thank you bythewobblydumdumtree and Lolly! I do love it when routine sprouts such rich moments. After al, if all of life is not sacred then none of it is.
