Side Effects of Soup


Chopped carrots and celery
tossed into the bubbling pot
leave the counter bright strewn 
with yellow and orange confetti,
tops and tails for compost.

    Giving back...
    I've used the dead fallen branches of my yard as tinder.
    The ash from the fire pit also goes back...
    Circles, it's all circles. :)
